How to get faster photo selections from your clients

Five practical habits that cut the time between delivering a gallery and receiving a final selection.

Waiting weeks for a client to choose their album photos is one of the most common delays in a studio. A few small habits make a big difference.

1. Set a clear selection limit

Tell the client exactly how many photos the album holds. A visible counter (for example 124 / 200) turns an open-ended task into a finite one.

2. Share one link, not a folder

A single private gallery link with an access code is easier to open on a phone than a shared drive folder full of file names.

3. Give a deadline

Add the expected submission date to your message. Most clients finish within the time you suggest.

4. Keep previews light

Optimised previews load quickly on mobile data, so clients actually browse the whole event.

5. Download only what was chosen

Once the selection is submitted, download the matching originals in one ZIP and start editing straight away.
